ABOUT
Sebastian Daniel Hutter is a London based artist who was born in South Africa. Sebastian creates abstract pieces that are emotionally and spiritually stirring. His art focuses on capturing movement and energy, conveying that through composition, colour and form, often drawing on his background in fashion.
The works are multi medium, though primarily in acrylic. They explore and convey the fast paced nature of emotion and the transition of expression, focusing on the fluctuation which is ever changing.
His background in photography taught him about the importance of framing a scene and what can be left to the imagination, playing with blank space and layering - allowing a glimpse into the process.
My Approach
My art is a compartmentalized construction of my perspective on life, and I convey my emotions through blank space and dissonance, all while hoping that the emotion left on the canvas resonates with the viewer in any sort of sense, allowing their mind to fill in the purposefully left blanks. From initial sketch to final product, the process is always captured within each canvas. Hoping the viewer sees a part of themselves within each piece allowing them to curate their own emotional tie.
